Israel is discussing the issue of operating the border crossing, which will probably be operated by Palestinian Arabs in the first stage.

<p>A White House spokesperson on Sunday night commented on reports which said dozens of people were killed in an IDF strike in Rafah in which two senior Hamas officials were eliminated.</p><p>"We are aware of the reports about the incident in Rafah and are gathering more information on the matter," said the spokesperson.</p>
