Iran’s military warns of decisive regional retaliation if the US strikes its nuclear facilities following President Trump’s pledge to hit sites under construction.

<p>Iranian state television reported that US airstrikes over the past 24 hours targeted military sites across six provinces, with the heaviest strikes hitting Hormozgan and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces.</p>

<p>The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces announced that the country's air defense systems are active and intercepting UAVs and missiles launched from Iranian territory.</p><p>The military statement noted that the sound of explosions heard in various parts of the country is the result of interception operations as air defenses engage incoming threats in Kuwaiti airspace.</p>

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth tells lawmakers that US operations in Iran have cost $37.5 billion to this point, warning of training cuts if additional funds are delayed.

<p>US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, comparing American military casualties across historical campaigns with his administration's current military operations.</p><p>In his post, Trump detailed that 2,000 soldiers were killed over 20 years in the Afghanistan War, 4,600 over 9 years in Iraq, 58,220 over approximately 19 and a half years in Vietnam, and 36,574 over 3 years and one month in the Korean War. By contrast, the president noted zero casualties in a single day in the Venezuela operation, and 18 soldiers killed over 4 months in the military conflict in Iran.</p>
