The report largely focused on threats from China and Russia, as well as noting the risks of broader conflict related to Israel's campaign against Hamas in Gaza since the October 7 attacks.

The official said Palestinian statehood must be "irreversible" and "irrevocable."

During this evening's riots, a 12-year-old suspect who endangered the forces by firing fireworks at them was shot by a security personnel, the police said.

"Why did they kidnap my family? What crime did they commit that Hamas kidnapped them? They have been in the tunnels for 5 months, and for what?"
