The unannounced launch of Ofek 19's satellite sparked panic in some areas of the country, where civilians thought a missile was being launched without proper alerts being deployed.

Anti-Israel group Bas Collective said that two people were arrested and that it was attempting to hold solidarity rallies for the activists.

It said the funding cuts "would be a first step to engaging in strong reforms across the UN."

Naeem held several roles in Hamas's Gaza City brigade, and throughout the war, was a senior operative in military intelligence and was close to Gaza City brigade commander Ezz al-Din Haddad. 

"I think it will be the starting gun for what we hope to be a sprint, not even a march, towards implementing the two-state solution," said Husam Zomlot, the head of the Palestinian Mission in London.

Several senior Houthi leaders have reportedly fled Sanaa towards fortified hideouts in Saada, Amran, and other areas under Houthi control due to fears of further Israeli airstrikes.

Officials claimed that the move to transfer the funds would face major legal difficulties, the report said.

A new law says persons who have moved to Norway after 1950, or their descendants, are not considered to belong to or constitute a national minority.
