The Japanese government will freeze assets and impose sanctions on payments and capital transactions on three senior Hamas members, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said on Tuesday.The three individuals were believed to be involved in the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas on Israel and in a position to use funds to finance such terrorist activities, the top Japanese government spokesperson said.

Iran has reversed a slowdown in the rate at which it is enriching uranium to up to 60% purity, close to weapons grade, returning to a rate of around 9 kg a month from the reduced rate of 3 kg, the International Atomic Energy Agency said on Tuesday."The IAEA confirmed that Iran had increased the production of UF6 (uranium hexafluoride) enriched up to 60% U-235 to approximately 9 kg per month since the end of November at these two facilities combined," the UN nuclear watchdog said in a statement, referring to sites at Fordow and Natanz.

A drone exploded in Ramim Ridge in Israel's North on Tuesday, injuring seven.The injured were all brought to the Galilee Medical Center, which reported that they sustained shrapnel injuries or head injuries.Two of them, one in serious condition and the other in moderate condition were taken into surgery once their condition was stabilized.

Iraqi authorities have found the bodies of a Kuwaiti and a Saudi national resident in Kuwait who went missing while on a hunting trip in a desert area of Iraq, Kuwait's foreign minister said on Tuesday."Two bodies found by Iraqi authorities are believed to be those of a missing Kuwaiti and his Saudi companion who had disappeared in the western Anbar province," a foreign ministry statement, reported by state news agency KUNA, said.It gave no further details.The desert region is known to be a hiding place for Islamic State militants who are still active, Iraqi security sources told Reuters.Kuwaiti foreign minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah praised the Iraqi authorities for their efforts and said they were in contact to investigate the case further.
