The new airline, Air Haifa, received its operational operating license from the Transportation Ministry on Wednesday.It will begin operating flights from Haifa to Eilat starting October 13 and to Cyprus starting October 14.Between September 30 and October 11, the company will have daily flights from Tel Aviv to Ramon Airport and back.Flights from Haifa Airport will be operating subject to security assessments.

The United States and France are currently working on ceasefire proposals to resolve the escalating fighting in Lebanon linked to the war in Gaza, three Israeli sources said on Wednesday, adding that no significant progress had been made so far.The American proposal includes a truce in the north to allow for a diplomatic solution, one of the officials said.

French President Emmanuel Macron told his Iranian counterpart that an improvement in bilateral relations could only happen if there was an immediate release of three French nationals held in Iran."The President of the Republic stressed the need to obtain without delay the release of the three French nationals arbitrarily held hostage in Iranian prisons for two years in undignified conditions, an imperative prerequisite for any improvement in bilateral relations with France," the French presidency said in a statement.Macron had earlier met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

US President Joe Biden said on Wednesday an all-out war was possible in the Middle East, but there was also the possibility of a settlement in Israel's conflicts in Gaza and with Hezbollah, Reuters reported on Wednesday."An all-out war is possible, but I think there's also the opportunity - we're still in play to have a settlement that can fundamentally change the whole region," Biden said in an appearance on ABC's "The View."
